Nursery Updates!

So I have been a fairly bad mommy-blogger lately. I have so many topics I need to update about, but we have just been busy, busy, busy lately! Not that that is a bad thing necessarily since it means that we have been getting things accomplished, but I have definitely been slacking on my blog.

We finally got the carpet cleaned to my satisfaction over last weekend. It looks a million times better! I love MIL's spot bot. It is amazing. I may hoard it for a little while & do some other spots on the carpet upstairs before we have to return it. =)

Also, we got the dresser/changer unpacked & all set-up last weekend. It's beautiful & I am very happy with it. I didn't know if I would love the dark cherry because I am usually not a big cherry person, but it looks great in the room. The changing pad that came with it was very thin so we went out and got a thicker contoured one on Saturday. I think it should work out MUCH better.

We finally got the crib out of the box & put together on Saturday morning. It went together SUPER easy & only took us about half an hour. Again, very pleased with how it looks! 

And I am even more thrilled that the furniture matches. They were made by the same company, but are NOT part of the same set. The dresser is from the Abbey collection & the crib the Tori so thank god there is not a major color difference.

We picked up BB's mattress yesterday at BRU & it was NOT my first choice, but I guess it will do. I am not sure if it's quite as snug as I would like, but I guess we will see once sheets & mattress pads & such are put on. I took BB's bedding out of the bag to try it out & I am second guessing my choice. I am thinking that all together it may just be TOO much for the room. I am thinking I might take it back for some solid colored separates instead. I decided to sit on it a little longer & see if I change my mind, but for now I am really thinking it's going back. We'll see.
