Carter: 22 Months

Stats:

Weight: 26ish lbs at last weigh-in


Length: 33.25? inches (haven't checked since last month)

Diaper: Size 4 in disposables, highest rise 3rd snap setting in cloth.

Clothing: Size 18-24 months, some 18 month & a few 24 month or 2T items.

Shoes: Officially into size 6s now. We currently don't have any Stride Rites that fit him.

Milestones:

05/06: First time trying blackberries. I think he'll get used to them, he did actually eat them, but it's been hit or miss since then.

05/07: First time trying popcorn. Yep, he loved it!

05/10: Got his VERY early birthday present, a cozy coupe! =) Seriously, the kid loves having his own car & the fact that it has a key.

05/12: 2nd Mother's Day on the outside! Unfortunately, it was not exactly spent with his Momma. =( Next year will be better.

05/21: Found out he is going to have a little brother come October!! <3

05/27: 2nd Memorial Day spent on the outside. Daddy was out of town so spent the day with mommy.

05/30-06/02: 2nd trip to SunRiver. Met some of his cousins for the first time. =) First time visiting Smith Rock.

Also this month: 

Learned to jump.
Can count to 20.
Has his ABCs memorized from A-P. =)
Starting to climb stairs solo.

In Other News:

Sleep: Started waking around 6AM for about a week & a half, but thankfully has gone back to waking between 7-8AM. Bedtime is still around 8:30PM & C is still napping once daily in the early afternoon for 2-3 hours.

Food/Milk: This month has been pretty even keel with some days of great eating & others of barely eating anything. In short, he's been a typical toddler. =) He's been less picky then in past month though & we've discovered a few more foods like he likes so I can't complain too much. Favorites this month include: popcorn, bagels & peas (yes, really!!). He also goes totally bananas over suckers (when we let him have them). He has also gotten a lot better about communicating when he is hungry & what he would like to eat. It makes life soooooo much easier. =)

Activities/Play/Vocabulary:

-Loves to sing Thomas & Lullaby songs, will break out into random serenades at anytime
-Calls "the doctor" every time he pretends to use the phone (ala 5 Little Monkeys)
-If he asks for something & you say "we will do that later buddy, okay?" or a similar question he will respond with "Okay!" every single time.
-Loves to play "Get You" (tickling him or rubbing his toes) & asks us to do it all the time.
-Tells us "Ewwww stinky! It smells." when he poops now. lol Although, sometimes he will tell me this when he hasn't pooped too.
-Randomly will just say: "Well...." & usually nothing follows. =)
-Loves to snuggle, hug & give kisses!
-Hugely into imaginative play right now.
-Still cannot figure out colors other then blue & green.... I don't understand it. =(
