16 week OB visit

Stats:

Progress: 16 weeks, 6 days.

Weight: +2 pounds on the clinic's scale

Urine: All clear

Blood Pressure: 132/63

Baby's HR: He actually didn't tell me today, but we did listen to it. =)

Fundal Height: Measuring at 18 weeks!!

Next Appt: Wednesday, September 16 at 8:45AM for my Anatomy scan!! =)

This was my first afternoon visit & I was actually able to get one of my local girlfriends to watch the kids for me since it was during nap time. I got checked in & called back pretty quickly & things went smoothly from there. I think this was actually my shortest appt thus far for wait-times & I was out of there by 2:20pm. Of course the one time I don't have a child with me. =/ It was a pretty straight-forward appt & the only disappointing factor was that my doctor wanted me to wait ANOTHER 3 weeks to schedule my anatomy scan so that the baby would be bigger. Uh-huh... Let me just say that the elective US we had was the best decision ever because 3 weeks out put us to the exact weekend that K is out of town again so I had to post-pone it until the FOLLOWING week. Ugh. So I will not effectively be almost 21 weeks by the time we do our anatomy scan which is the latest I have ever had to wait to do one. Yup. He offered to do an in-office US if I wanted to see the baby, but I declined this time knowing that he was short on time & since I had already had an ultrasound earlier in the week.

He also mentioned blood work, which I agreed to, but then I thought about "what possible blood work could he have me do..?" I already declined the quad screening so if it's that, I'm not doing it. We had to pay out of pocket when we did it with C & it was not pretty. Not to mention, even if something is wrong with this little one it wouldn't change a thing. Totally moot at this point.
