Dear Holden (28 week letter)

Hey buddy,

I know it's been a while since I've last written to you (14 weeks to be exact--yikes!), but your momma & your family in general have been very, very busy! A lot has happened since my last letter--we found out that you are a boy, momma has felt your first movements, we moved out of our first house & entered into the third trimester!! We also picked out a name for you, sweet boy & I hope you'll like it as much as we do.

You have also grown immensely since my last letter. You were smaller then an orange then & only around 2.5 ounces & 4 inches long. Now you are about the size of a butternut squash & weigh about 2.5 pounds & are 15 inches long! I can't believe you are getting so big in there, although if Momma's belly is any indication you are sizing up to be a bit bigger then your brother. However, only time will tell if this one proves true or not.

Other then that, buddy, we've been preparing for your arrival the best we can with our lives in such a current state of disarray. I'm just happy that we have most everything that we need for you already & the few things that we do need to pick up will be small or extra. =) I've already started to get the urge to prepare for your arrival & really want to start organizing & cleaning! Unfortunately, since we are living in your great-grandparent's house currently I don't have a lot of freedom to do either at the moment. Once September comes I am sure I will have plenty of motivation to prepare everything for your arrival.I can't believe that we have only 78 days left until your due date, that is less then 3 months buddy! Wow.

I keep thinking you are going to be here before we know it & it really is true, but have faith little one that whenever you decide to make your grand entrance we will be ready for you. Please continue to live inside for a bit longer so you can grow bigger & stronger, but don't doubt for a second that we can't wait to meet you! We're not altogether sure if your brother really understands fully about you just yet, but we know he is going to love you just as much as we do. And don't worry, Momma will make sure he's good to you. =) I do worry sometimes how I will juggle my time between the both of you, but I know in my heart that everything is going to be just fine. We love you so much little man & we will all be together soon!
