Stats:
Weight: 13 pounds, 8 ounces per the home scale
Diaper: Size 2 in disposables & still haven't been doing much with cloth. I'm hoping to start building my stash up a bit more & since C is closer to potty-training all the time it shouldn't be much longer.
Clothing: Very in-between sizes right now. He's in some 3 month sized stuff, some 3-6 month stuff & some of his 6 month stuff is still too big. Meh...it's nice to have a lot of wardrobe options I guess. It's just a little annoying not to be able to pack all of the 0-3 & 3 month stuff away all at once.
Milestones:
02/02: First Super Bowl Sunday.
Yeah, not much happened this last few weeks. =)
Nursing:

He is eating about every 2.5-3 hours during daytime hours between 6AM & 7:30PM & then will go in 4-5 hour stretches at night. The longest stretch to date was still the 7.5 hours post growth spurt, we have had nothing even close to a repeat performance since then. He's VERY vocal & very angry if you do not feed him when he wants to be fed. If I didn't feel slightly bad about it I would almost laugh because it's pretty funny. I mean, I know he's not starving or anything, but he sure does act like it sometimes. =) He's also become a MUCH more distracted eater lately...it's pretty annoying actually & I definitely know that C was not this distracted at only 3.5 months old. I can only imagine how much worse it's going to get over the coming months. He's also started to spit up a little bit more the last couple weeks & it's probably because he's taking in more at one time, but it's nothing like C used to do. He has only had like 1/2 of a bottle in 2 weeks.... yeah. I'm being bad about it, I know! It just seems like such a waste of my time to try to force one on him when he's stretching out his feedings a bit more now (allows for a little more freedom) & he's so resistant to them in the first place. Also, we're moving & there won't be much need since we likely won't have a babysitter for a while anyway. I'm also not bothering to transport my freezer stash, but am instead donating it to a friend who just gave birth & is unable to nurse her little boy due to medical reasons.
Sleep:
Oi! Nighttime sleep or should I say overnight sleep has been good, but the whole going to sleep & staying asleep thing at bedtime seems to be getting worse & worse. He tends to sleep on & off with multiple wake-ups between 7:30 & 11PM these days. Ugh...it basically means very little ME time for momma. After his 11ish feeding he's usually down until 3:30 or 4AM, then up again around 6:30/7 & then will sleep until 9AM usually. I don't know if this is the beginning of the 4 month wakeful period that we are seeing or something else, but I'd rather have him have his sleep troubles early in the night then all night long. I just hope it doesn't get worse & worse..only time will tell. Napping is still hit & miss, but has started to improve a little bit again. He had a few days there where we had trouble getting him down, but it's mostly still been okay. He's still a far better napper then his brother ever was at this age. He's still sleeping with us the majority of the night & mostly napping in the swing or in our bed. Occasionally, he naps in the baby carrier it he's having one of "those days".
Elimination:
Still totally irregular. He's pooping about once a week on average & still SUPER gassy in-between. It's terrible. I have never smelled such strong smells from such a little person. Carter NEVER had gas that was this noxious. It's ridiculous. We've been giving him gas drops a lot more this last couple weeks & they seem to help sometimes & not others. I just hope he starts to regulate a bit more soon.
Social:

He is soo funny! He's been getting A TON more vocal this week & I'm not sure if he's competing with his brother for who can be the loudest child or if it's just his little personality coming out more. He loves to "yell" & literally makes a noise that sounds like cat being strangled. Yep, it's hilarious & annoying at the same time. If he wasn't MY own child it would probably drive me insane. He also loves to coo & has his muh, noo, eww (oo) & goo noises. He's been laughing more & more for me, but doesn't seem to want to giggle for anyone else. It definitely makes me feel a bit special & I was able to catch it on video finally. When we are around anyone else he will only make grunting noises instead of giggling. He TRIES not to laugh, it's so crazy! He also loves looking at himself in the mirror & even when he's at his grumpiest he will get THE biggest smile on his face when he sees his reflection. He hates to be alone & is very opinionated about that lately. He tends to protest quite loudly if he doesn't like something. He's started making kissy/lip smacking noises & he loves giving gubby wide mouth kisses to anyone who will take them.
Physical:

The kid astounds me EVERY single day with his skills. I can not believe how coordinated he is for such a little guy. I can already tell that he wants to be able to do everything that his brother can do & it's only a matter of time before he is sitting up on his own & before he is mobile. If I prop him up against something he tries desperately to sit up straight so we've been practicing our sitting/tripoding & using the Bumbo a lot more. He also loves to stand up when we're holding him. He no longer likes being cradled like a little baby & prefers to be held up right so that he can look around at everything. While in the baby carrier he no longer snuggles up to me until he's really tired & instead holds his head up the entire time. When placed on his tummy he can hold his head up at a 90 degree angle for a long amount of time & is liking tummy time more & more. He still tends to roll out of it eventually, but will stay on his tummy for more then a couple seconds at a time. He thinks being bounced & flown around are hilarious.
