8 week OB visit (Baby #3)

Stats:

Progress: 8 weeks, 3 days according to ovulation, but the baby was measuring 8 weeks, 6 days on the ultrasound.

Weight: -2 pounds from my appt. 4 weeks ago.

Urine:

Blood Pressure: 104/

Baby's HR: He didn't tell me, but he did see the heart beating on the ultrasound. I'm sure I'll find out at my next appt.

Fundal Height: Too early to start measuring really. =)

Next Appt: Tuesday, July 21 at 12 weeks, 3 days.

This is the second appt that I've had at my new OB & I took C along with me this time. He wanted to see the baby & kept asking me if they were going to open up my stomach or not. They like you to check in 20 minutes before your appt so we got to the office at 8:40AM as instructed & I didn't get called back until almost 9:15AM. Ugh. Thank the good lord I only had C with me & that K was able to stay home with H & go into work late.

After they called me back the MA did vitals, asked me a few questions & C went to the bathroom with me. That was quite the adventure... After we returned to the room, the MA left us alone for a few minutes & finally came back for my sample. My doctor finally came into the room at about 9:35AM. I was kind of pissed off because only the doppler was in the room when the MA left & I had really hoped for an ultrasound since my last one showed absolutely nothing. Thankfully one of the first things he said was "Let's do a little ultrasound & see where you're measuring.." I was happy since that was THE ONLY reason I brought C to the visit. We talked a little bit & another nurse or MA brought the ultrasound machine in.

The ultrasound was fairly quick, but C got to see the baby & we got some pictures to take home to show K & H (who was more excited to see me). On our way out I made my follow-up appt for a month out.
