23 weeks (Madeline)

How far along?: 23 weeks, 3 days

How big is baby?: Approximately the size of a grapefruit, between 10.5-11.8 inches in length & weighing between 12.7-20.8 oz. This is when apparently determining size gets a lot harder. =/

Total weight gain/loss: +8 pounds as of this AM, but at one point last week I was back down to +5 so technically I lost 3 & gained it back. Ha!

Maternity clothes?: Tanks (just for length) & a mix of maternity & non-maternity shirts, but all of my regular jeans & pants still fit just fine although they are starting to feel a tad tighter in the belly come evening. I can wear my pants normally most of the time, but I bought a bella band last week. Hoping I can stay in regular pants as long as possible! Maternity jeans are the most uncomfortable thing EVER.

Symptoms: Loss of appetite & lots of fatigue are still the most prominent ones this week. The heartburn has TERRIBLE some days & okay other days, definitely asking for something prescribed at my next appt. The back pain is also increasing, especially if we're in the car for longer periods of time.

Stretch marks?: Still just the ones from H thus far.

Sleep: I'm tired. ALL THE TIME.

Movement: Right now, she seems to be more of a night owl & after 9:30PM seems to be her most active time of day. I have felt her lightly on the outside a few times, but she's pretty shy & moves away if she can tell we are trying to feel her.

Food cravings: I don't have as many aversions, but still lack of appetite. My stomach fills quickly with small amounts of food & nothing sounds particularly great still. Not really sure at what point this is going to change, but whatever...I'm used to it at this point.

Gender: Sweet baby girl. <3

Labor Signs: Nothing yet, clearly.

Belly Button in or out?: In & I'll be surprised if it doesn't stay that way. I have yet to ever "pop" with any pregnancy.

What I miss: Still just the same old, same old. Energy & motivation!

What I am looking forward to: Just getting more things together for this baby & nursery planning. I'm excited to pick a theme & start shopping. In non-baby related news, my parents are visiting this weekend & I think we're planning a trip to Spokane/taking the kids to the pumpkin patch.
