Busy Bodies?

Uh....I don't usually post twice within the same day, let alone hour, but I MUST vent.

Why is it......that in the last week+ I have received more FB friend requests then I probably have in the last 6 months?

So, I get KU & suddenly all the freaks come out of the woodwork? Why in the world do you want to be my friend now? Because my main pic consists of me & my baby bump?

I have had 6 people send me friend's requests in the last week & a half!! Honestly, I have to say that none of them are people that I want to befriend. Some of them are people who have known me for months, years even, & didn't request my friendship before. Why now? What makes now so special?

My guess:

They are nosy bastards who only want to check on what is going on with my pregnancy. I am not trying to even be mean about this, but one in particular I am just BAFFLED by. It is a girl who has hated me since high school & hasn't tried to talk to me or make amends in 10+ years. Now you want to be my friend? Why? What is the point? Another person that I went to high school with also tried to add me & I haven't the slightest clue who they even are. Why are you trying to add me on FB? Obviously, I am not going to attack these people or accuse them of anything, but I am going to deny their friend's requests. Especially if you can't even send me an e-mail message first explaining your intentions.

Am I the only one dealing with this type of weirdness?

Bottom Line:

I am not giving people an all access pass into my life who I don't like or don't know. It doesn't make sense to me & I don't feel safe opening myself up to that. If I wasn't good enough to befriend before then we can't be friends now. Sorry.
