37 week OB visit

 Stats:

Progress: 37 weeks, 6 days.Yep, practically 38 weeks again, but my OB was only in the office two days this week so it is what it is.


Weight: +42 pounds, so thankfully not a big change from last visit. Maybe I can make it out of this thing under 45 pounds, Oi!


Urine: Again, she didn't say so I'm not sure, but no one mentioned protein so I'm sure it was fine. I will find out Monday probably.


Blood Pressure: High again, 144/82. Since I was rushing from work on my lunch to get to my visit & was still 2 minutes late & panting I'm not surprised. It was not the most fun round-trip ever. =( I'm glad I won't have to go to another appt on a day that I am working.


Baby's HR: 146, but he was definitely being a difficult little booger. My OB usually picks him up with no problem on my right side, but today we couldn't hear a thing! I knew he was okay because he was thrashing about, but he is definitely laying with his back to my side. We could hear him just fine on the left.


Fundal Height: Didn't mention it this time either.


Next Appt: Monday, September 30 @ 10:45AM. I know, 3 days from now! lol

This again was not a very fun appt to try to make it to. I even thought about cancelling this visit since I see my OB again on Monday & it was slightly pointless, but I want to be compliant.

I had to work a 12 hour day today & the only two days that my OB was in the office was today & Wednesday. Her appt times on Wednesday were not good so I opted for today. Big mistake, apparently. Traffic from one clinic to the other was TERRIBLE! How dare it rain in the PNW!?! We were literally driving 40 mph on the freeway almost the whole way there. Bah! So even though I left with 25 mins to get to my appt, I still ended up being 2 minutes late. Fortunately, I got called back right away.

Once again, declined the flu shot & the internal. I simply did not have the time to deal with either today since I was supposed to be back at work from lunch by 3:20PM & it was already 2:50PM. My OB saw me at about 3PM & I was out of the office by about 3:10PM. Yep, didn't make it back to my office until 03:36PM. Oh well. =(

I did get confirmation that my GBS swab was negative, so that's good at least even if I already knew as much. Oh & kiddo is still head down, just in a funky position. Fun stuff!
