For the Soul

This last few days have been like a balm. A balm for my soul. I've been doing a lot more praying & a lot more thinking & a lot more talking. I've been working everything over & over in my mind & running my brains out. And I have to say that happily, I am feeling a lot better about our whole situation. I'm excited about our new adventure to come. I still have some fear in my heart, but so much of it has ebbed away that I can barely recall what it was all about in the first place.

Instead, I am focusing on the positives. We've found a wonderful home to rent & even though we haven't moved in yet I am falling more & more in love with it all the time. We weren't 100% sold on it at first, but it's only real con was being located in the tiny town my husband will work in. Yes, you read that right...that was the con. =) On the pros list are: a large functional kitchen & dining room, a huge living room with built-in shelving, 3 nice sized bedrooms, a fenced yard with a clothesline (cloth diaper perfection, anyone?), an actual REAL laundry room, loads of parking & a giant garage, not to mention a gorgeous view, privacy, central air, & is all on one level. Not to mention that I got the best vibe from the people that we will be renting from. I can't wait to have our own place again that I can decorate & organize the way I want. I also can't wait for the boys to have their own room again. I have been going crazy on Pinterest expanding on my original nursery decor ideas for H. I love that I can combine some of what we already have with new pieces to create something that I know I am going to adore. I can't wait to get all of the pieces together in the room (but that's a whole other post entirely).

I've already planned out how I want to lay out the rest of the house & I can't wait to incorporate a few special little areas into our new home that I have been dying to work in. The house is also getting a new toilet, new kitchen sink & new blinds next week. =) I've already inquired about hanging pictures & shelves & got the go ahead for it all. Our landlords even mentioned painting, but since they won't likely have time in the next few weeks I've asked if they would consider letting me paint. Waiting to hear back about that one, but I am hopeful. The boys are going to share a room so that we can have a guest room too & although H will stay with us for the next few months I think it will be good for them both.

I've embraced that I will have new projects & I'm excited to get my creative juices flowing. I've also been looking into not only churches in our town, but also a possible co-op preschool for C. I'm excited for the opportunities to meet new people & get involved in our new community. And I am happy to say that I have found a coffee shop that has AH-MAZ-ING coffee! It's not Starbucks, obviously, but it's the best non-Starbucks I've ever had.

This weekend has also been wonderful in the fact that I have gotten to do things without my kiddos in tow. I love the boys so much it hurts, but every Mommy needs some girl-time. I got to go shopping with my bestie for a few hours last night & it was awesome being able to look through Home Goods without having to worry about what my two year old is touching or whether my 3 month old is going to wake-up & fuss. I'm also going to see the Hunger Games with my Momma tomorrow afternoon & I can't wait! I haven't been to see a movie in so long & since I have free passes it will be even better. I can't wait for popcorn, good company & a great show. =)

The next few weeks & weekends are going to be busy, busy, busy & moving day will be here before I know it, but maybe I will be around a bit more then I had expected. I've got a lot more to say..
