Here We Go Again..

As I mentioned in my recent 5 on Friday post, I planned to start C25K the day after Christmas. Well, mission successful!! I completed Week 1 on Monday & plan to start Week 2 tomorrow. And you know what? I actually feel pretty good. I'm pushing myself a little bit more each day & I'm not feeling sore or terrible the next day like I thought I might. I'm so glad I decided to get back into the game! It's amazing how well our bodies can work for us if we just let them. I was going to start week 2 today, but I started feeling sick last PM & woke up this morning to a nasty case of vertigo. I'm not sure what was up, but decided to forgo running today. Passing out & falling off the treadmill isn't exactly part of the plan. Hopefully, I will be back to feeling 100% by tomorrow.

I also started tracking my food with the LiveStrong App on my phone. I like it, other then the inability to indicate that I am a nursing mother. I had to add it in as a "Custom Exercise." =( Boo! It does however let me keep track of my food, water, exercise & weight loss. I also like that I can scan food items by barcode, makes things a lot more convenient. Having the App on my phone has made it a lot easier to remember to track my intake especially in the middle of the night (if I have a snack while nursing) & I feel like it's given me a very liveable & realistic caloric goal for the day. It can also send you reminders if you're a forgetful one. =)

I'm all about honestly, reality & full disclosure so I'm going to put this out there...I didn't weigh myself last Thursday morning like I should (for accuracy), but my best guess for a starting weight is right around 179 pounds. I weighed myself yesterday in the morning & I was down to 176.6 so 2.4 pounds down in less then a week. This is a little bit faster then I would like to lose weight as I don't want my supply to suffer. I may start eating a little bit more if this keeps up just to slow things down a bit. My goal is to lose about 1-1.5 pounds a week. I know the first weeks are usually the biggest weeks for weight loss so we shall see how it goes. I will not forfeit my supply or risk my nursing relationship in order to lose weight faster.

Weekly Wins:

Completed Week 1 of C25K
Drank a TON of water
Downsized my mocha frap
Upped my veggie intake

Weekly Work-on-its:

Eat breakfast daily! (Even if it's just a smoothie)
Try to fit in some weights or Pilometrics on at least 2 off days
Get back into Yoga (oh how I miss thee!!)
