Stats:
Weight: I have no clue since she hasn't been officially weighed since her 1 month check-up, but she's definitely over 11 lbs.
Length: I have no clue since she doesn't have her 2 month check until the 7th, but she's long. I call her my Amazon baby. =)
Clothing: She's definitely in-between sizes right now. She's in some 0-3 & some 3-6 depending on the brand. Almost all of her 3 month jammies are too short so she's mostly in 6 month for those.
Diapers: Size 2!We're doing Huggies Little Movers right now, but a friend gifted us some Honest brand diapers at my shower & I'm actually liking those better right now.
Shoes: Her size 1s are still a little big, but the crib shoes don't fit her anymore & I actually just sold ALL of them.
Nursing: Just
continuing to truck on, but she's finally staring to nurse a bit less
during the day & can go the full 2ish hours now without eating.
Gearing up for bedtime though is another story. I thought originally that she was going through a growth spurt, but now I'm convinced she's cluster feeding like mad so she can sleep her first long stretch. She will want to nurse constantly for the couple hours before she goes down for the night. We're still nursing 100% on demand so she's not on a real schedule. She still uses nursing as her comfort
crutch at this point, but not as much as before. She has been quite a
bit better about taking a pacifier, but does prefer that we keep it in
her mouth for her still. She usually nurses
fairly quickly
doing about 10-15 mins per side, but when she's nursing for comfort it
can be a lot longer. She doesn't always nurse on both sides, but is
getting better about that most sessions. We did attempt a bottle a couple
weeks ago & she wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. =( We've
been so busy I haven't had a chance to pump & give it another try.
She may end up never taking one, just like her brother. Ugh. Yep...still this with the bottle business. =/
Sleep: Currently she's going
down for the night between 9-10PM & will then usually sleep until around 4AM. She usually
wakes up again around 7:30 (since the time change) & sometimes she goes back to sleep right away & sometimes she doesn't. I hope this
trend continues, because I feel a lot more rested because of it. EDIT: Yeah, that ^ was week 7. Week 8? Not so much. =( She was definitely back to waiting randomly & 2-3 times a night! Blah. She's also been better about going back to sleep in the middle of the night which has been amazing! I'm STILL not sure whether she's going to ever be a true
paci lover or not, but she does still try to suck on her hand/find her
thumb. She
definitely will ONLY take a Soothie pacifier. Ugh. We still haven't been
swaddling her, but she does prefer to be wrapped up or cuddled in a
blanket to
get to sleep.
Currently she is sleeping in the rock n' play every night, all night. I
don't foresee moving her
to her own room for at least a few months or until she is STTN
regularly. During the day, she naps either in the rock n'
play, in her car seat or on us. She is definitely a cuddle baby & loves to be
held/snuggled while she sleeps. Naps have been interesting the last few
weeks & as she becomes more alert...they become harder to manage.
She DEFINITELY likes to be babied to sleep like C & would prefer to
be rocked or carried around to fall asleep. She has also wanted to sleep ON me constantly & when I try to put her down she almost immediately wakes up. Basically, I have had very little alone time this week.
Other: She still loves music & seemed to really enjoy the singing during church last weekend. She has started cooing & "talking" to us a ton this week. We have really seen her little personality starting to come out. In some ways she's just like each of her brothers. =) She's starting to enjoy baths a little bit more, but still isn't the biggest fan of the whole process & certainly does not like the in-between time of being taken out of the bath & getting dressed. Just this week she has decided that she actually does like sitting in her bouncer, but she'll only be in there for a few minutes before she gets bored & starts wailing, but I'll take what I can get. She's a pretty needy baby overall & does love to be held, but she can also be really easy-going when it counts like when we're out & about. She does fairly well on cars rides & awesome while we're in stores, restaurants or running errands.
