Weight:11ish pounds with me standing with her on our home scale, but who really knows for sure.
Length: I don't know for sure here either, but LONG!
Clothing:0-3 & 3 month clothing. Some special made clothing she can wear 3-6.
Diapers: Size 2! They are a bit big on her still, but the 1s definitely didn't fit well.
Shoes: Still barely squishing into crib shoes & fitting a bit better into her 1s.
Nursing: Just continuing to truck on, but she's finally staring to nurse a bit less during the day & can go the full 2ish hours now without eating. We're still nursing 100% on demand so she's not a real schedule, but she is definitely nursing less often. She still uses nursing as her comfort crutch at this point, but not as much as before. She has been quite a bit better about taking a pacifier, but does prefer that we keep it in her mouth for her still. She usually nurses fairly quickly doing about 10-15 mins per side, but when she's nursing for comfort it can be a lot longer. She doesn't always nurse on both sides, but is getting better about that most sessions.We did attempt a bottle a couple weeks ago & she wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. =( We've been so busy I haven't had a chance to pump & give it another try. She may end up never taking one, just like her brother. Ugh.
Sleep: It definitely seems to be one step forward, two steps back in her sleep, but I guess that is to be expected at this age. Currently she's going down for the night between 7/8PM. I usually wake her before I head to bed between 9:30/10 change her diaper & attempt to nurse her again. The majority of the time she will only nurse one side. =/ She's been doing good 5 hour stretch & has been sleeping about 10/10:30PM-/3:30AM. Last night she actually slept from 11ish-4:30AM. She usually wakes up for the day around 6:30, but since the time change it's been 7:30 (which is fine with me!). I hope this trend continues, because I feel a lot more rested today then I have because of it. I'm STILL not sure whether she's going to ever be a true paci lover or not, but she does still try to suck on her hand/find her thumb. She definitely will ONLY take a Soothie pacifier. Ugh. We still haven't been swaddling her, but she does prefer to be wrapped up or cuddled in a blanket to get to sleep. Currently she is sleeping in the rock n' play every night, all night. I don't forsee moving her to her own room for at least a few months or until she is STTN regularly. During the day, she naps either in the rock n' play or on us. She is definitely a cuddle baby & loves to be held/snuggled while she sleeps. Naps have been interesting the last few weeks & as she becomes more alert...they become harder to manage. She DEFINITELY likes to be babied to sleep like C & would prefer to be rocked or carried around to fall asleep.
Other: She honestly seems to LOVE music & likes any toy that plays it or especially when mommy sings to her. The radio in the car also seems to be able to calm her down the majority of the time. =) She's really started smiling this week, especially right at the 6 week mark & I can't get enough of it. She's also seemed to have hit her peak fussy period as she has had quite a few days were she gets hysterical. Not fun. =( Just in the last few days she has started smiling & cooing regularly when we talk to her! It is seriously my favorite stage of little babies. She actually seems to enjoy tummy time which is a first for one of my kids. She's also super strong for her age can hold her head up quite well for being only 6 weeks old. She has rolled from tummy to back 4 times now & I have not ACTUALLY seen her do it once yet.
Milestones:
02/29: First time sleeping in the Rock n' Play over night.
03/03: First bottle. Rejected. =( Met Auntie Alison for the first time. =)
03/07: Longest stretch of sleep to date, 5.5 hours.
03/08: First REAL smile. =) Start of a growth spurt. =(
03/09: FINALLY started taking a pacifier more regularly.
03/11: Last size 1 diaper & first size 2 diaper.
Likes: EATING!! Momma, Music, being rocked, her brothers & Daddy.
Dislikes: Baths, being restrained, pacifiers, & having to wait for food.
Nicknames: Madds, Mad-Mad, Moo, Sissy, & Baby Maddie (Carter)
