Nipple Confusion.

Nope...not at all like you think! =)

Just had to share this cute/funny little story while I have the chance. So I don't know about you ladies who have had their babies, but Carter is a major wiggle worm. I pretty much thought that at this age when placed on his back to sleep that he would more or less stay that way. Uh....no. A few nights ago we were all in bed (yes, we are co-sleeping...that's a story for another day) & we had Carter swaddled & sleeping between us taking up MOST of the room in our king size bed. How an almost 7lb baby can take up the majority of the bed is beyond me, but he does. I figured he would stay put there, but I guess he was hungry. My kid is basically a boob predator. If there is a boob in proximity he will find it. Well....Mr. K was just laying there innocently in the dark & he kept hearing Carter's breathing getting closer & closer & closer. All of a sudden he said he heard a quick inhale & then *LATCH* right onto HIS nipple! Bahahaha. It scared the crap out of Mr. K, but to me it was just the funniest thing ever! I told you my kid was a breastfeeding pro. =) He just had the WRONG parent.

He literally turned him around & the kid headed for me. Unfortunately all the effort caused the little guy to stop halfway in between us & spit up. =( Apparently all the effort was just too much for his squirm worm ways. I can't believe my kid can move THAT much while basically wearing a straight jacket. Anyone else's kid on the move already?

  2. Oh my goodness - I literally just laughed out loud! My little guy is 3 weeks old and doesn't budge - AT ALL. I'm not surprised though... his big brother didn't even roll over until 7 months old!
