I had started C25K at the end of December & although I kept up with the running 3 times weekly (mostly) & made it to week 7 of the program, I more or less fell off the wagon with everything else. I stopped tracking my food, didn't work-out otherwise & basically just led an otherwise unhealthy lifestyle. The week before we moved, I ran my last run.
Well, after nearly 3 weeks of no exercise & unhealthy eating I finally decided enough was enough. I weighed & measured myself last Thursday & I had gained back nearly every ounce I'd lost since January (not that it was much anyway). The measurements were even more alarming. I have never had measurements this large in my ENTIRE life. Even when I weighed 12 pounds more then I do now, I didn't have measurements this bad. Needless to say, that coupled in with my pitiful attempt at running that day let me know it was time to get my butt back into gear. I already knew it was time when I wrote this post last week, but this just sealed the deal.
It's now been a week of consistent exercise & making smarter eating choices & I'm happy to say that I've lost 2.5 pounds. Not only is my attitude improving, but my energy & my outlook are also improving with each healthy choice made. I'm not tracking calories, I'm just making better choices. I will weigh in weekly & do measurements monthly, that's it! And although, I know my 2.5 pounds lost have not changed my outer appearance significantly I am already feeling better, stronger & more proud of myself then before.
I'm doing this for me.
I am beautiful. <3
