5 On Friday

It's been a while since I've linked up for one of these posts, but I have some free time today so here goes!

{ONE} After a month of hard work & dedication, I am super proud to report that I lost 8 pounds & a total of 6 inches overall. Unfortunately, I plateaued this week so I guess it's time to switch up my routine a little bit. It was bound to happen, but I am happy with my progress thus far. My clothes are already starting to fit better & yesterday I tried on a pair of shorts that I bought for summer (hoping they would fit by then) & they already fit well!! I'm glad I didn't remove the tags yet because it looks like I may have to exchange them. That kind of made my day despite the zero change to the number on the scale.

{TWO} H started solids this week & since we are going the BLW route this time it has definitely been a bit more of a learning experience for BOTH of us. Trying to figure out the best way to present the food to him has definitely been a challenge. He obviously doesn't have a developed pincher grasp yet, but I find that giving him large pieces of food doesn't tend to work well either (too slippery). I guess it reallly will just be trial & error for both of us until he gets more practice in. Needless to say, he's been loving it!!

{THREE} Is it terrible that I am already dreaming of July & vacation? I've been so bored & feeling ho-hum this week. I cannot wait to get away as a family for a REAL vacation. Especially since Spring has finally sprung & Summer is close enough that I can taste it. All of this teasing sunshine is definitely not helping. Hopefully we can get out & do something fun outside this weekend to help tame the beast a little bit. July is still kind of far away at this point.

{FOUR} Unfortunately, my 2.5 year old has decided to become a climber. *Sigh* He's kind of late to the game as far as becoming an adventurer is concerned & I'm glad he's a bit older now, but he's not exactly any more coordinated then he used to be. I am not exactly digging this new-found bravery, especially when I have his little brother on my hip. He is climbing EVERYTHING these days, including on our drawer handles & bar stools in order to reach the counter top. Not my favorite. I want to encourage his independence, but at the same time I want him to be safe. I just thank the lord that he is old enough to understand me when I tell him why he can't do something. Oi!

{FIVE} Despite trying to eat healthier & exercise, I am still the eternal snacker. Yep, I love me some snacks. I can't help it!! lol Anyways, my latest go-to snack addiction are these Quaker Popped. My BFF turned me on to them & now we can't get enough. Even my picky toddler loves them! They come in both sweet & savory varieties, but my favorite thus far is definitely the Cheddar flavor.
