Gotta Love It

Ah, a good deal. There is nothing better! I went digging recently through the clothes bins in the attic *hoping* that I would find more summer options for the boys that would work.

*sigh*

No. Such. Luck.

All of Carter's shorts from last year were 18 month sized...yeah, not gonna fit a kid who is slowly working his way into full time 3T. Boo! I was thinking I had bought him some 2T stuff (which could have worked this year since he's so skinny), but I guess not. Fortunately, his swim trunks (both pairs) and one of his rash guard tops still fit as well as a couple of pairs of 2T pjs, but not much else.

And on an even bigger bummer note?

Holden is WAY too tiny to wear Carter's summer stuff from his first year. =( And I have ONE pair of 6-9 shorts from Carter, ONE. Needless to say, I am having to buy both boys more summer clothes then I would have liked or thought. And it is going to be WAY too warm around our parts to keep them in pants all summer.

Thankfully, I had some Gap Cash from the last promotional period, as well as a $5 dollar reward. I was able to pick up some pretty great stuff for a low price. I also took advantage of the 40% off & did a separate order on some other items.

And today, Old Navy was apparently having an awesome sale because I picked up a pair of shorts for H, a one piece outfit for H, a pair of sandals for C, a tank top for myself & a lightweight cardigan for myself for less then $40. Awesome! I also have the cardigan in a light sand color that I bought previously & the fit/fabric are perfect for a summer cardigan. I wore the sand colored one to church last weekend/for Mother's Day & it was great to have while in the air conditioning yet not too warm to wear while we were hanging outside/playing at the park. And the tank I picked up is in a grey polka dot pattern & it fits perfectly! It was so inexpensive that I may pick up a few more in different colors.

I also picked up a cute new dress (20% off with the Cartwheel app) & some new flats on clearance from Target as well. I don't have a whole lot of church appropriate dresses ATM since I was pregnant last summer & so I wanted to buy something that would work for church & that I could wear for other occasions as well. I absolutely love this dress! You can't see the detailing well & it looks black/white in this picture, but is actually navy & has some pink in it as well. It was a bit shapeless on me so I belted it looked super cute. I may go back & get a few more dresses like it since there were other colors/patterns as well.

Needless to say, I am pretty darned pleased with all of the purchases I made & that I managed to stay within our budget. Seriously, thank you coupons, promotions & online codes!
