Sheeple aka Fix #1

Okay ya'll, after seeing sooo many great things about Stitch Fix from SOO many of you I finally decided to go for it & give it a try. My first fix arrived yesterday & I think it's safe to say that I am already addicted! My stylist did a wonderful job & I feel like linking my Pinterest style board really helped her get a better feel for me.

The first item I pulled out the box was this vest & I was a bit skeptical at first because I do not normally wear vests & it wasn't something I ever would have picked out for myself. I tried it on with a plain white tank, with a t-shirt & with my chambray button-up. Seriously, I fell in love!

Please excuse the less then stellar photos. I am currently down & out with a cold so phone pics were about all that I was up for. Also, excuse my naked face & dirty haired top knot! =) The vest looks black in the photos, but is actually a navy & white with gold detailing. It was the most expensive item in my fix at $78, but I did end up keeping it since I had the $20 off from my styling fee & I technically consider this to be outerwear. I can already think of numerous different ways I can style this!

The second item I pulled out the box was this coral chevron top. I love the feel of the material & the color. It also fit me very well & had a gorgeous zipper detail on the back. This is definitely something that I would have picked for myself had I seen it in a store.

This was one of the least expensive items in my fix at $34 & I did end up keeping it as well. I feel like this shirt is super versatile & will make an excellent addition to my wardrobe. I definitely feel like I will get my money out of this one since I will likely wear it all of the time.

The third item in my fix was this tank. I loved the pattern & the material, but I did not love the style. I do not think that this was flattering on me at all & definitely something I would have avoided in a store at all costs. This was the ONLY item in my fix that I immediately knew was going back.

I hated how flowy this tank was on the bottom & that it was longer in the back then in the front. I feel like it made me look bigger then I am or that I was trying to hide a baby bump. Definitely not a winner in my book. Needless to say, I did not end up keeping the tank.

The fourth item in my fix was this gorgeous tunic. Again, the pattern, colors & fabric were all amazing. I was so excited when I pulled this out of my box & thought for sure this one was going to be a keeper.

Until I tried it on. =( This tunic was so tight around my chest & my shoulders that I was afraid I might rip it taking it off. It also was a bit too snug around the mommy pooch & nobody wants to show that off. I was so disappointed because I truly did love this top & I definitely would have kept it had it fit correctly even with the $60 price tag. This also went back.

The fifth & final item in my fix was this color block cardigan. Again, I was SURE that this would be going back. It just looked so odd when I pulled it out of the box & I usually HATE cardigans that are flowy, uneven & unstructured. I figured I should at least try it on.

And you know what? After trying it on, I actually really liked it. I NEVER would have picked this for myself in a store & likely would have never even attempted to try something like this on. The material is super soft & light, plus the coral & peach are beautiful together. It's light enough to be worn in fall, but could also be worn in the winter. I didn't take a picture of it, but it also looks cute with the ends tied up. This was the least expensive item in my fix at $28 & surprisingly I did end up keeping this as well.

So all & all I feel like it was a very good experience. I have 3 new items to add to my wardrobe & I honestly would have kept 4/5 of the items had the tunic fit a bit better. Definitely going to do this again & I'm excited to see what my next fix holds for me! Stitch Fix gets two enthusiastic thumbs up from this style challenged girl.
