Perfecto! Fix #5

My "fifth" fix arrived on November 8, so just two days after my birthday. I had already decided that I would keep anything from the fix that I loved as a birthday present to myself since we didn't actually do anything for it as K was out of town on business at the time. I was hoping for a better box since my last one was fairly disappointing overall.

The style card looked promising, but I wasn't too thrilled to find two bottoms in my fix that were exactly the same size as all the other bottoms I've received recently that haven't fit. =( I was kind of assuming they wouldn't fit either. I was excited to see another accessories included in this fix!

This striped french terry sweatshirt (Jolene $88) was the first item I pulled out of the box. It was definitely something I would wear & was excited to see a sweater that wasn't wool. I tried it on with the Kate Boyfriend Jeans by Kut from the Kloth (the second item out of the box--$78). The sweatshirt was a little itchy (strangely), but otherwise I liked it okay. The jeans ACTUALLY fit me just fine, but seemed a little short rolled up this far. I don't own any boyfriend style jeans though & I think they are supposed to be like that..? Not sure, but I did like them okay as well & they would definitely be a welcome addition to my wardrobe. At this point though, I was 100% about either of these items.

The third thing I pulled out of my box was this Henry Birds on Branch infinity scarf by Octavia. I LOVED this immediately. I don't have another scarf like it & the black & white is super versatile. I knew immediately that even if I didn't keep anything else this scarf was staying. It would definitely be worth the $8 if it was the only thing I kept ($28 total).

The fourth item out of the box were these Kut From the Kloth Denna Colored Skinny jeans ($78). Uh, seriously LOVE. I was also afraid these wouldn't fit, but they fit perfectly! The color is amazing! The true color is pretty close to the one in the top picture so they are basically magenta, but I adore colored jeans so these were great. I also really wanted to keep these as well.

The fifth & final item out of the box was this Olive & Oak Vina knit sleeve utility jacket ($138). Not to sound like a total broken record, but honestly another score on my stylist's part. I REALLY wanted to keep this jacket. The fit is perfect, the style is great, I have NOTHING else like it & I was looking for a lighter-weight jacket with a hood.

So here was my dilemma...if I kept the skinny jeans, the jacket & the scarf I would end up paying $224 plus tax for just the three items where as if I kept everything with the 25% discount I would end up paying $292.50. So it was more worth it to me to just keep everything then it was to send stuff back that I did like, but just didn't love. I kept the items for as long as possible & tried them on numerous times before I came to that decision. I NEVER thought I would get the discount because I never imagined them sending me 5 items that I would actually want to keep.

Thank you, Alexandra for packing me a nearly perfect fix! My next one is scheduled for December 1 & even if I love everything I like won't keep it all since I did this go-round. After this, I am going to go to once a month fixes for a little while. I was even going to reschedule this next one to later in the month or next month, but by the time I decided it was already too late to do it.
