Still not quite there yet aka Fix #4

You're probably thinking to yourself as you read the title of this post..."Fourth fix? What happened to #3?" No, it's not a typo. Yes, this was my fourth fix technically. My 3rd fix was scheduled to be delivered on October 15 to my parent's address. Yeah....

Somehow the mailman decided that the package was undeliverable as addressed & sent it back. =( Stitch Fix handled the situation beautifully & sent me a new fix the following week free of charge! They also marked my third box as lost. I'm kind of disappointed because I really was looking forward to the items in my third fix according to the description, but oh well. My fourth fix was ALL different stuff.

My fourth fix arrived on Monday, October 27 so about a week ago, but I'm a bit behind on posts (obviously) & am still trying to play catch-up. Needless to say, I was pretty excited to FINALLY receive my fix.

I already had a small idea what was in the box since I had peeked at the invoice online the day before & I was excited for some of the pieces & not so excited about others. The first piece I pulled out of the box was this Gorman Split Hem Sweater by Fate. I'm truly sad about this one guys because after checking the tag I discovered I couldn't even try it on. It was a wool blend & I can NOT do wool. AT ALL. So this one was definitely going back.. Here's a picture of the untouched sweater..

The next item I pulled out were these Duboce Straight Leg jeans by Margaret M. They were a bit of a purplish-maroon maybe mauve color, but the color wasn't the issue I actually kind of liked that they were different. What was an issue? The weird band at the top that made the pants feel more like maternity pants then pants for regular people. Also, they did not fit. Not even remotely. I think it's time to adjust my sizes in my profile... Needless to say, these got sent back.

The third item I pulled out of the box was this Kristina Leopard Print Pencil Skirt by 41Hawthorn. I didn't immediately love it because I am not a big skirt person, especially pencil skirts. The silhouette never suits my body shape & especially right now where I am carrying so much weight around my middle. I did try it on, but I was correct in my assumption & it just did not look right. =( It was a really cute skirt, but not on me. It also went back.

The fourth item out of the box was this Haddie Mixed Print Tie-Neck top by Skies are Blue. I liked the pattern immediately, but thought I would HATE the top on me. Color me surprised when I tried it on & actually LOVED it. The style, the fit & the pattern were perfect. I also have nothing like it in my closet so this one was a keeper.

The fifth & final item was this Kalee Faux Leather Moto jacket by Andrew Marc. Again, I really REALLY liked this jacket. The fit was a bit odd though & since I have another very similar js acket I could not justify keeping it even if I thought the $78 price tag was very fair. If I had not liked the top I *might* have kept the jacket for $58 (after the styling fee). As it was though, it got sent back as well.

My next fix is scheduled for next week & I'm pretty excited. I feel like even if only one item at a time works for me I'll probably keep using the service. It's just so much fun getting to shop from home & try things on in my own bedroom. Right now I have a fix coming every 2-3 weeks, but I may schedule them less frequently going into the holiday season, we shall see.
