Milestones:
03/04--First ride on a carousel. He loved it! Rode on a horse with Mimi & got a certificate for his first ride. =)
03/04--First time in his new Stage 2 car seat.
03/05--First time trying pumpkin. I mixed it with some banana & he seemed to enjoy it. =)
03/06--7 months old!
03/06--First tooth, lower right front! Came in with surprisingly little trouble. I didn't even really know he was teething until he stuck my finger in his mouth & I felt the super sharp little nub.
03/06--Lowered crib level. It was only a matter of time till he was able to pull himself to standing.
03/09--First cold. =( Poor baby. He got his Momma sick too & it was MISERABLE few days.
03/09--First time trying plum. First finger food, Cheerios!
03/10--First time sitting up in the big bath tub.This was exciting to him. He can't get over how fun it was splash & play in the faucet stream! I don't think he'll ever be going back to his whale tub.
In Other News:
Sleep: It was pretty bad there for a ouple weeks with the teething & being sick. One night last week he was up every 1.5 hours. Ick. He had taken to waking not only at 10:30-11PM (after going down at 07:30PM), but also waking at 01:45AM ON.THE.DOT. It was annoyingly like clockwork. He stopped waking at 11PM 3 days ago & last night was the first night where he didn't wake at 01:45AM. Hopefully that means things are slowly going to go back to STTN. Naps also could have been better during the last few weeks. Now that he's feeling better & the tooth is in, hopefully naps will start to become more predictable again as well.
Nursing: Still going great! He is going anywhere between 3-4.5 hours between meals, but usually closer to every 3. He has only "bit" me once since getting his new tooth & it was my own fault for not cutting him off when I knew he was done eating. He was being whiny & just wanted something in his mouth when he did it. I don't think he like my reaction (saying OW! & promptly removing the food source) & has not done it again since. So far, I'm happy to say it's been NBD & not something that will prevent us from continuing on. Yay!
Food: He's loving pretty much everything & I let him play with some Cheerios last weekend. He was able to get maybe one into his mouth & keep it in there. I was just glad he didn't choke on it. We'll use finger foods as more practice then anything right now kind of like his sippy cup. =) I'm excited to introduce more, but I think we'll wait a few more weeks for anything besides the Cheerios. He's still taking approx. 6oz bottles every 3 or so hours when Momma's away.
Play: He's finally becoming more independent! Yay! Other then trying to crawl, he will get into anything that he can reach. E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. is new & exciting & was meant to be played with. Toy or not. He also loves to stand up, be tickled & be "gotten." He loves playing peek-a-boo & itsy bitsy spider thrills him. He loves "high fiving" & "clapping." He also loves being bounced, dancing & flying. He still really enjoys being upside down & getting/giving "kisses."
