Carter: Week 33

03/15--First time trying White beans. My MIL is an idiot. Enough said.

03/18--2nd tooth. Bottom left front.

03/19--First time trying Chicken.

In Other News:

Sleep: We started trying to implement a 2-3-4 schedule this last week. All that means is that we kept Carter up for two hours after waking & then he went down for a nap, then kept him up for 3 hours & then down for nap number 2 & then kept him up for 4 hours & then bedtime. It seemed to work pretty well on the days that we were able to do it & is a more natural schedule for him. It seems to insure both longer naps & it keeps his bedtime around the same time as usual every night. Carter is definitely down to only two naps daily now. He will usually take one in the late AM & then again in the late afternoon. I'm not complaining because most of the time they are at least 1.5 hours in length. He FINALLY went back to STTN last Tuesday night. He slept from 8PM until I woke him to nurse & head to the sitter at 6AM. It was HEAVENLY. It's hit & miss now, but 7:30-3:30/4AM is okay with me too since he will usually go back to sleep until 07:30-8AM.

Nursing: Going great! We are still going strong & I'm so proud of us. In truth, I never thought we would make it this far. It really annoys me when I talk about nursing & people stare in disbelief & say "You are STILL doing THAT?!?" Uh...yeah, I am. What's it to you?! Sheesh. And I plan to keep doing it so get used to to it. Also, everyone thought it would all come to an end with the introduction of teeth into the mix. Carter has his two bottoms now & has still only bit me once. When he's truly hungry, he's more interested in eating then chewing. The teeth issue has still been NBD & for that I will be forever thankful. We'll see what happens when the tops come in, but for now it's all good in the hood. We've almost made it to our next goal of 8 months! After that there will be no stopping us on the road to 1.

Eating: The kid is a total pig, ya'll. I swear that he does not have an off switch. He would probably just continue to eat forever if we let him. He will eat a good 4+ oz now at each of his 3 meals & we waste very little food. We have started introducing more of his food as finger foods (avocado, banana, ect.), but it is definitely for practice right now. He doesn't have his pincher grasp down yet so we're working on letting him try. Not much of his finger foods make it to his mouth, but he loves trying. He still seems to like mostly everything his momma makes him & it's amazing how much better fresh organic food tastes then the jarred stuff. If we are out & about he gets the Plum Organics or Happy Belly foods & he seems to enjoy those as well. His biggest love at the moment is still yogurt mixed with fruit. He would probably eat yogurt for every meal if we let him.

Play: The kid is sitting like a pro & will finally play that way or sit & watch momma do chores. He still loves standing & has been trying to do it a lot more by himself. He is still not pulling himself up into either of these positions. We still haven't mastered crawling & I'm starting to wonder if maybe he won't afterall especially with all the standing he wants to do lately. Only time will tell, I suppose. Other then that, he loves being tickled, trying to climb on things, playing peek-a-boo, being upside down, dancing & getting/giving kisses. He is also really into any toy that plays music.

-Being strapped into the car seat or shopping cart or even the stroller sometimes
-Diaper changes
-Wearing clothes
-Having to wait for ANYTHING
-Being uncomfortable
