Dear Baby (6 weeks)

Hi little one!

It's been an eventful week for us. You've grown even more this week & are now the size of a sweetpea & from what I remember you will continue to double in size this week as well. It's so amazing how fast you are growing & changing right now. It truly never will cease to amaze me how incredible you already are. You're also getting smarter this week with new brain cells developing at a rate of 100 cells per minute! At that rate, you'll be smarter then your Momma by the time you're born.

We had a bit of a scare this week kiddo & I almost thought that you were lost to us. =( Fortunately, it turned out to be nothing more then a scare & you seem to be safe & sound in there. We never had a scare of that magnitude with your big brother & I hope it isn't sign of things to come for this pregnancy. I continue to pray for you nightly that all is well in your warm little home & that you are continuing to grow & develop as you should.

You're definitely unpredictable, my love & I don't quite know yet what that is going to mean for us when you're here with us on the outside. Some days you let Momma feel great & like maybe you aren't even in there & other days you ensure to remind me that you are in fact there & that reminder comes with a vengence. I can't count on my predictable & easily controlled nausea as I did with your brother. With you, it's fine one minute & wanting to be sick in the next. You really are making sure that Momma knows that you are your very own person & you don't want to be compared to your brother. AH, sibling rivalry already!

This week is going to be a busy one for us kid & I am hoping it goes by quickly. One more week will bring us one step closer to getting to see your sweet face! So let the countdown continue! Only 5 and a half more weeks.
