Nursing: He's still doing great & we're trucking right along. I'm so happy that this time has been so much simpler & that my supply seems to be a lot better. PTL! I'm not setting any nursing goals because we are just going to nurse until H doesn't want to anymore. He's still eating approximately every 2-2.5 hours during the day & his longest stretch to date at night is still 4.5 hours. He's getting a bit more consistent with his eating times & tends to eat on the even hours. He is still very quick & his sessions still don't ever exceed 20 mins. He took another bottle this week while I was out & about shopping for a few hours & he stayed with my mom, but he had a little trouble with it & ended up screaming for 45 mins. I'm not sure if the milk had gone off or if he was just refusing the bottle to refuse it, either way I've been pumping daily in the morning so that he can take a bottle a bit more often. I'd hate for something like that to happen again when someone is watching him.
Sleep: We started a bedtime routine last week so that both boys go down at the same time. C stopped napping & so the bedtime routine starts about 6:30 on bath nights & 7:00PM other nights. We do bath, diaper changes, lotion, pjs & then we all sit in the glider together. I read to the boys & then C says his prayers. Then I sing to them & we rock. C has been passing out while we rock. After I put C to bed, H will usually nurse & then he generally passes out while being burped. I'll usually put him down in the RNP & he will occasionally stir a few times before fully settling for the night, but more often then not down for the count no later then 8:45PM. He's been doing well with sleeping in the RNP & will generally go right back to sleep in it after each wake-up over night. Occasionally, I will bring him into bed with me after his 5AM feeding. His wake-ups have gotten pretty predictable & he seems to wake-up at the same times over night. He usually wakes up for the first time around 11:30 & then again at 2 & then at 5. He will usually then sleep until between 8 & 9AM. And since C is no longer napping he will usually sleep in until at least 8AM as well. During the day, he has been sleeping in either the RNP downstairs or in the swing upstairs (depending on how loud C is being). He is definitely an excellent napper & although he isn't really on a nap schedule he is never awake for more then 2 hours at a time. He doesn't often fight naps & will usually go right down with very little coaxing. He usually only naps in short increments right now (between 45 minutes to just over an hour), but it's all good.
Other: He still loves grandpa (my dad) the best out of everyone, but he has started to smile at just about everyone daily now. He also loves to talk & coo all the time now. Right now his favorite sound seems to be "ewwwww" more then anything else. He is still having some gas issues (some days worse then others), but things seem to be slowly improving. We did start giving him some gas drops this week from time to time & those do seem to help when he needs them. He loves when people make funny noises at him or whistle. He also started making "squeak" noises when you nom on his tummy. He's trying so so hard to laugh, but can't seem to get it out just yet. He did amazing with his shots & only cried for a few minutes. He got over it fairly quickly & was happy for quite some time. I did give him some Tylenol at the clinic & he was good to go until about 5PM when it started to wear off. He was pretty miserable for an hour or so until he fell back to sleep. He's loving bath time more then ever & has started to kick his feet furiously whenever he's in there. I got a video of him doing it the other day & it cracks me up every time, it totally looks like he is swimming. He is starting to tolerate the Bumbo a bit more this week, but is hating on tummy time BIG TIME. He will generally either cry or protest by just laying there every time. He does enjoy lifting his head & looking around while being carried or if you lay him on your chest. He's still not a fan of the carseat, but he is getting a bit better about being in it for short periods of time. He still prefers to be in the baby carrier when out & about.
