Then what exactly is all of the cramping about? AKA 37 week OB appt.

I can sum up this appt with just two words....ready?


NO PROGRESS


Yep, you heard me right folks. Nothing. Nada. Carter 1, Momma 0. I am still only 1cm dilated & 20% effaced. As far as whether he has dropped or not....apparently I am able to tell that better then she is? Huh. Not quite what I was expecting to hear being all the changes that had taken place this week. And honestly, I don't want to be, but I have to say that I find myself very disappointed by this news. I know, I know, I know....."you're only 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow." "It's your first baby." Blah, blah, blah...I gotcha. Not to mention that I am the one all along who has been saying that I am SURE he is going to be late, but...I am still disappointed. I may just forgo the internal next week altogether....

Other then that, my weight was good. Only 1lb gain this week & I was pretty worried considering I now have room for food again & have been taking advantage of that fact. =) My B/P is still holding strong  at 110/80 & Carter's HR was between 128-130......that kind of freaked me out too. Come on dude! Why is it dropping now when you have been at a consistent 145ish for MONTHS?! Gah....so many more mini-freakouts in my future. All I have to say Mr. Carter is that you better keep the movement at wild man pace or your momma is going to be a nervous wreck by the time you decide to make your grand entrance.

I completely forgot to ask about my fundal height this week. =( Whoops! I am sure if it wasn't okay my OB would have said something though. We were too busy discussing birth control & breastfeeding. Oh...I almost forgot, the BEST part of my appt. My GBS testing came back negative! So at least there was one small win of the day. No abx during delivery. Now to just pray for NO INDUCTION. =)
