Weekend Recap

 This weekend has been a ton of fun! The weather has been gorgeous (high 70s to low 80s), especially for WA in May. It's nearly unbelievable and since I have little faith that we are lucky enough to score an early summer we are sucking up every moment of sunshine that we can. K had drill this weekend so C & I were on our own for the most part.

On Saturday, we were supposed to go to the zoo with my BFF, but she had more planned for her day then I originally thought so C & I decided it was time to break out the baby pool & water table for some play outside. The kid is a 100% waterbaby at heart & always has been. I sat & enjoyed my magazine & a frapp while the kiddo played & played & played.

 Eventually, we got the kiddo's slide in on the fun & I swear if that was not the most fun thing to ever happen to him in his life. Seriously. =) He climbed up & slid down on him tummy I don't even know how many times. I would post a video, but for some reason my phone and/or blogger hates me. After playing outside for most of the late morning/early afternoon we came inside for some lunch & then C had a nap. When he woke up & daddy got home we went back outside for some more fun & more deck work.

We had dinner out at our local pizza joint & then came home to watch a Thomas movie. It was great evening spent as a family! Everyone slept really well that night to say the least.

On Sunday, I decided we needed a change of pace so C & I headed out to the waterfalls over by my work for a little bit. This place is a major duck habitat & C was literally ENAMORED by all of the WATER. He was a little upset that I would not let him go swimming in the ponds, but he did enjoy terrorizing following the ducks around.

 After chasing the ducks around for a while we went for a walk through the rest of the park. C got pretty tired with all that running & I ended up having to carry him some of the way back to the car...until he saw the yellow truck below that is! He ran right up to that thing & kept yelling "Mommy, truck!!" He barely let me pull him away from it so that we could head to my parent's house.

C & I made a quick stop to the store afterward to pick up a card & some flowers for my grandma as well as some lunch for ourselves. We headed to my parents afterward to hang out for a bit & then finally to my grandparent's place. C read his Thomas books on the way over & passed out on the way home.

After a nap for C & then some dinner as a family we headed out on a short walk. I didn't bring the camera, but it was pretty uneventful. C went to bed shortly after we returned home.

All & all the weekend was marvelous!
