3 weeks PP: Mommy Check-in

Three weeks out today & I can barely remember that I just had a baby a few weeks ago. All of the soreness has completely abated & I haven't had to take any Ibuprofen or Colace in over a week. Yay! I'm still having to wear a light pad as the light bleeding continues on this week. Some days I have barely any bleeding at all, but the next day reminds me why I still need to continue to wear a pad. The bleeding has definitely gone on longer this time, but I know it's normal & will stop eventually so it's NBD.

I weighed myself this morning & I am 30 pounds down. I can not believe how fast the weight is falling off this time. I'm not complaining, but every time I step on the scale I expect the weight to either be the same or for the loss to slow down, but it doesn't seem to. I'm wearing my one pair of non-mat. pants that fit me & it's amazing how much better they fit this week then they did a week & a half ago. My appetite is still not back to normal at this point, but it is definitely starting to improve. I also thought last week that maybe my belly was done shrinking down, but now I'm not so sure. I guess it must have shrank a bit more since my pants are fitting better. I guess ya'll can be the judge from the pictures (last week vs. this week). I've definitely got my work cut out for me when I start working out though...the toning, strength & endurance training is going to be rough going at first, I'm sure.

Sleep is still not really happening much this week, but I did finally get a nap in today (which was amazing!). Again, I know this time is so fleeting & he will be sleeping longer stretches before I know it. I'm continuing to go to bed nightly with the boys & am usually in bed by 9-9:30PM every night. It's been weird, but I really can't stay up any later right now physically. My time with K has definitely been suffering due to this, but what can I really do? Part of taking care of myself is getting as much sleep as I can so for now we just have to sacrifice some us time. I know that this will change soon as well.

Nursing is still going very well & today is the first day that H has actually started to stretch out his feedings to every 2 hours. We will see if this lasts or if it's just the effects of the end of a growth spurt. Either way, I am very pleased with how our experience is going thus far. I still haven't started pumping yet, but I am going to have to find a time soon when it works. I don't want him to be that kid who refuses the bottle. Definitely going to have to work it in by next week for sure.

3 more weeks till cleared to work out! I really am excited, I just hope I am able to make time for it.
