January:
I finally had my colposcopy that I had been putting off for months & thankfully was given a clean bill of health. Such a wonderful way to start the new year after several months of worry & denial. =) January also brought Mr. K & I's second wedding anniversary & 7th year as a couple. I wish I had a photo, but I sadly don't. We had planned for a night out, but C was going through a growth spurt that put a huge hitch in our plans with him needing to nurse every couple hours or less. Major milestones for C included: First solids (Avocado) & started sleeping through the night.

February:
The 2nd month of year was a busy one, it brought C's 1/2 birthday, first Superbowl, first Valentine's Day, & first words (Mama & then Dada). It also brought a lot of special celebrations including the first birthday of C's friend, Audrey & the birth of our dear friend's little girl, S. C started sitting unassisted & had his 6 month professional photos taken toward the end of the month.

The third month of the year brought with it C's first two teeth (bottom center), switch to a big boy car seat, first carousel ride, first cold, first time in the big bathtub & crawling! C celebrated his first St. Patrick's day & I was down 10lbs into my weight loss journey by the end of the month.

April:
The 4th month of the year finally brought some sunshine with it! C played in our yard for the first time, had his first visit from the Easter Bunny, & went swimming! We took our first trip of the year & went to the beach! C had a ton of fun & although he hated the sand--he LOVED the ocean! He had his first long car ride & slept away from home for the very first time. He also learned how to wave, clap & pull to standing.

May:
The the 5th month of the year brought my first Mother's day. We got to spend time with both of our mothers as well as my grandmother. It was a wonderful day! C learned to go up the stairs, point & drink from a straw. We celebrated 9 months out as well as C's first Memorial Day.

June:
The 6th month of the year brought regular cruising by C, the celebration of K's first Father's Day, & the beginning of two more teeth! I participated in my first 5k race & we had our first pregnancy scare post-C. The scare that helped seal the deal for me that I was ready for baby #2.
July:
The 7th month of the year was a VERY busy one for us. We celebrated C's first Fourth of July (and last 1st holiday =( ), took our first trip to Sun River with my family, visited Crater Lake, made another trip to the beach for our friends' wedding, & added a very large addition to our deck. We started major party planning for C's birthday, C said his first word (besides Mama & Dada--Doggie), & he also had his first haircut.

August:
The 8th month of the year was a very important one! We celebrated C's first birthday with a big family party at our house on the hottest weekend of the year. C started talking a lot more & we said bye bye to the birth control. K & I also had our very first date night out ALONE. We took our first trip to the Portland zoo as a family & C walked with his walker for the first time.
September:
In the 9th month of the year, we took C to his first Rod Run which meant another trip to the beach. AF returned, charting began & I had my first post-colposcopy Gyn appt with another clean bill of health!! Yay! I took C to the library for the first time & he also had his first lake trip & boating experience. I also bit the bullet & cut my hair the shortest it has ever been. I liked it, but am back to growing it out.
October:
The 10th month of the year brought with it the loss of a tooth (C), the near loss of a job (me), a 2nd Halloween & walking. We took C to the pumpkin patch for the first time & first time decorating a pumpkin. He hated it!
November:
The 11th month of the year brought C's second Thanksgiving (1st chance to enjoy the food), a presidential election, & the turning of my 30th year. C also learned how to stand solo without pulling up first. He also got 3 of his first molars!
December:
The final month of the year brought a lot of joy for us & a lot of sorrow for our nation. We spent a lot of time as a family & with our close loved ones. C got to go to Zoo Lights for the first time & ride the zoo train. He also got to the Winter wonderland of lights & to see the Christmas ships. We visited Santa (C wasn't so sure) & had our family photos taken. We got colds (C & I) and celebrated New Year's Eve at home with snow!

You have so many wnderful pictures from the year, it looks like you made a lot of great memories!
