Something New

One of my 2013 non-resolutions was to try at least one new thing this year. I've been giving something a lot of thought lately & I think I  have decided what I would like to try. And honestly, I'm pretty excited about this new prospect. I love when I say I'll never do something or never try something, but then I decide I will. =)

This is definitely one of those things that I said was NOT for me--100%, but I also said that about having kids & breastfeeding & look what wonderful things came out of changing my mind in both cases. I have the most amazing, adorable, sweet, funny, smart & loveable little boy ever & I would not trade the nearly 18 months of nursing for anything in the world.

With TTC #2 & the impending break from work, I think we are going to give CDing a try. It will be a great way to save money & help the environment. I have a lot of working Momma friends who do it & it doesn't seem as hard or as daunting a process as I made it out to be (in my head). I'm sure I will have A TON of questions along the way, but thankfully I have a lot of awesome resources nearby. I think I am going to stick with one brand of diaper for now & give it a try. This weekend I plan to head to my local Cotton Babies & buy enough of a stash to start with Carter. I know I will also need wet bags & special detergent? Yikes, I better get to researching!! If anybody can offer any helpful insider tips on CDing it would be much appreciated! I know we are a bit late to the game on this one, but I'm excited none-the-less. And I'm glad I decided to give it a try because I WANT TO & not because it's a Mommy-fad right now.
