Bonus!!

Since I haven't exactly had the most organized week I won't be doing a Thrifty post this week. With K's business partner staying with us for a few days & then the two of them heading off to Vegas for SEMA it's been nothing short of insane around our household. C & I have been solo since last weekend & I haven't exactly been cooking huge meals for the two of us. I'm already working on next week's plan & coupons so I promise to be back to your regularly scheduled post next week!

So, instead here's a RARE pic of me, myself & I sans C. I actually made an attempt at looking "put together" today & I think I succeeded.

I realized after looking at my pictures that I REALLY need to buy some new jeans that are not 4 years old & distressed as all hell, but at least they fit so I guess that's something. This outfit probably would have gone better with different jeans, but oh well. Next time...

The shoes were $5 at Payless (buy 1 get one 1/2 off, bonus!!). The blue shirt is from Old Navy & was $8. The gold tank was from JC Penney & was also $8. I've already had the jeans, cardigan & pearl accessories for years now.

I was going for a look that I found on Pinterest & then got a better look at on Polyvore. Obviously my outfit was a cheaper version of theirs, but still the same basic concept. I refuse to spend that much on clothing for myself, especially right now. I'm still not 100% pleased with my shape & although I am back at working to get there I'm not there yet. Hopefully, my clothes will just start to look better on me as I drop that extra poundage still clinging to me. Regardless, I am trying. I don't want this to turn into a "what I wore today" blog, but I may keep ya'll posted on occasion as I try to find myself again & my fashion sense that I lost when I became a Momma. It is definitely still a work in progress, but I like to think I'm making a step in the right direction.

And for those curious folk....here is the original look that I was attempting to copycat. =)
